Post-secondary university degree (Commerce/Business) with a major in Accounting.
Additional Required Qualifications:
2 - 3 years experience in an accounting setting required. Strong knowledge of charitable industry, including accounting standards, CRA metrics, Charitable Fundraising Act of Alberta requirements. Thorough working knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Willingness and ability to acquire additional software skills. Ability to handle inquiries and assignments with highest level of professionalism and confidentiality. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills required. Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize required. Team-oriented approach to work, and able to respond and communicate with all levels of staff and volunteers. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Raiser’s Edge, Financial Edge and Quadrant HR payroll system experience. Experience in a charitable setting. Accounting designation (CPA) Preferred.
