Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years experience in a senior secretarial or office management position or equivalent required. Highly proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office software as well as Microsoft Project required. Highly developed writing skills required. Ability to work with limited supervision. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, writing and communication skills. Thorough knowledge of Covenant Health, Alberta Health Services, Albertan Universities and Government of Alberta. Professional, highly effective interpersonal & communication skills required. Initiative and self-motivation. Discretion and confidentiality. Ability to work independently. Clear business and academic writing skills.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Provide customers with their initial impression of the hospital and the organization. Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions and adhere to short timelines in completing projects. Demonstrate a professional level of tact, discretion and confidentiality. Ability to portray a calm demeanour when handling irate and/or emotional charged situation. Ability to concentrate for long periods of time. Responsibility for proper operation & maintenance of office equipment and furnishings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certificate in Business Management or Business Administration required with a healthcare focus preferred. Working in Healthcare setting would be an asset. Managing complex scheduling for the ED and other related leaders within the scope of the organization preferred.
