Your Opportunity:

The Administrative Assistant (AA) is the key support person for the Site Administrator; provides executive administrative support to the Community Board, Senior Leadership Team, Medical Director and a large committee structure. The AA ensures that all issues are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner, either through direct handling or through referral to other appropriate individuals. The AA makes effective decisions related to identification, analysis, problem-solving and distribution of presenting issues, referral of issues emerging from the daily work of the Site Administrator’s office, or referred to the office by staff, clients, families, and members of the public. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: performing corporate administrative functions, project work, committee work, coordination of special events.

Required Qualifications:

One or more of the following: Business College Diploma, Healthcare Administration Certification. Post Secondary Education desired. Five years progressive equivalent experience in a health care environment.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Two to five years practical experience in an Executive Support / Administrative environment working closely with Boards and Committees. Experience with event and project management preferred. Comprehensive working knowledge of various computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, email, calendar).Ability to use standard office equipment (e.g., fax machine, printers, copiers).Ability to work under pressure in a changing and challenging environment. Must be able to work independently without direct supervision and cooperatively in a team environment. Ability to supervise staff and assign duties as appropriate Ability to coordinate and organize events and special projects.


Preferred Qualifications:

Must have a high level of tact, discretion and ability to maintain absolute confidentiality. Must display good judgment and professionalism. Excellent organizational, communication (written and oral) and problem-solving skills. Ability to capture meeting deliberations concisely and accurately through minute taking. Ability to prioritize work appropriately.Ability to work against competing priorities, deadlines and under pressure.
