Required Qualifications:

A degree or professional designation in a related field (such as Computer Sciences, Business Analyst, Project Management, Human Resource Management). Driver’s license is required for travel between sites and provincially. PMI certification preferred. Minimum of five years progressively responsible experience with computerized systems, demonstrated project management methodology, tools and techniques are required. Experience in a unionized environment is required. Experience in the interpretation, administration and application of collective agreements, policies and procedures. Required to be the internal functional expert to analyze issues and information. Must make decisions or take appropriate action to manage or address escalated issues or operational matters. Must have extensive knowledge in software implementation, business process improvements, etc. Ability to bring projects to successful implementation with diplomacy and tact, assertively representing the organization’s best interests. Requires a thorough knowledge of business processes and their integration with systems and business processes/functions.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Required to assist in the management and resolution of a variety of complex problems and issues not typically defined within existing policies or procedures. Issues and problems typically have cross functional (including system) impacts. Required to lead or guide diverse internal and external stakeholders. Required to explain difficult or complex concepts or information – without compromising customer service. Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office required: Visio, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word. Ability to effectively communicate, using tact and diplomacy with all stakeholders. Ability to orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish results, with excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous supervisory experience an asset. Education and/or experience in performance measurement, reporting, research and evaluation methodologies. Excellent relationship building & leadership skills: creates and achieves results by engaging, facilitating and influencing individual group or organization goals. Ability to effectively present and clarify requirements, expectations, ideas and concepts to various audiences/stakeholders.
