Required Qualifications:

University degree or post-secondary diploma in a related field such as UI/UX Design, Digital Media, Graphic Design or Visual Communication. Three to five years’ experience in graphic design, brand or web design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in different flavors of craftsmanship in audience communication and interaction – e.g., graphic design, web design, IA, photography, videography, motion graphics.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Proficiency in design tools, especially Adobe Creative Suite required. Knowledge of print, digital and multimedia production (or a combination of), required. Experience in photography and videography, encompassing all production aspects from storyboarding to shooting and editing. Ability to translate complex user requirements into compelling and digestible creative strategies and visual communication solutions. Proven ability to foster relationships, work collaboratively within the department and the organization to achieve organizational goals. Thorough understanding of user-centered design methodologies. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to a variety of stakeholders, including executive leaders. Exceptional organizational skills, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks, even when faced with competitive and conflicting priorities and time pressures. Attention to detail is paramount. Strong commitment to personal development and participation in continuing education activities to enhance knowledge of creative trends, best practices and new technologies.


Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare and/or public sector environment experience an asset.
