Required Qualifications:

Post-Secondary degree in health services, epidemiology, IT or other related field with an advanced quantitative focus. Master’s or PhD degree required.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Five years’ experience in a healthcare environment working with spreadsheets, databases and tools for querying, integrating, analyzing, interpreting, reporting and disseminating data. Knowledge and ability to produce a variety of descriptive, inferential and predictive statistics Proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills to produce reports and communicate with clients from across the organization. Thorough knowledge of ICD-10 CA/CCI coding system General knowledge of CIHI coding standards. Familiarity of the following: AHS Data Repository (DAD and NACRS), Point Click Care, Continuing Care Reporting System (CCRS), Alberta Continuing Care Information System (ACCIS), Datix, Reporting & Learning System for Patient Safety (RLS), Feedback and Concerns Tracking Database (FACT) Must have Oracle SQL or other comparable database query and report writing experience. Ability to understand clinical issues, and to communicate effectively with a broad variety of people at different levels within the organization with a variety of skills.
