Your Opportunity:

As a Position Management Analyst at Covenant Health, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient management of employee positions across the organization. You will support day-to-day operations, working with systems such as ePeople (PeopleSoft) and recruitment management tools to maintain and optimize position structures. In this role, you will ensure compliance with policies and procedures, collaborate with HR teams, and provide guidance to leadership and staff on position management-related matters. You will also contribute to the continuous maintenance and improvement of the position management structure, offering guidance and support to leadership and staff. This role offers the opportunity to drive process improvements, aligning position management practices with Covenant Health's broader organizational goals.

Description:

The Position Management Analyst is responsible for providing operational support across position management processes and ensuring the integrity of position data within Covenant Health’s HRMS. You will work collaboratively with management, HR, and Finance to advise on position management principles, policies, and processes. Your role will involve verifying and processing position changes, ensuring budget accuracy, and maintaining position control documentation. You’ll also work with recruitment systems to ensure completeness of records and assist in resolving complex position-related issues. Key responsibilities include auditing position attributes, generating reports for Finance and HR, and supporting HR Shared Services with large volume requests. You will also serve as a resource for Hiring Managers, offering training and guidance on creating and modifying positions in the ePeople system. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under tight timelines with limited supervision. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma required; Human Resource or Finance diploma or other secondary education required and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Human Resources and/or Finance in progressively responsible roles. Knowledge of Position Management Principles. Experience working with Recruitment Management Systems, PeopleSoft and/or other Human Resource Information System applications, and Time Management Systems in relation to position management principles. Proficient in MS Excel, Access, and Word. Experience in healthcare or complex staffing environment. Experience working with Collective Agreements. Experience working with all levels of management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, organizational and telephone skills including written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, work with individuals at all levels, possess a high degree of initiative, judgment and decision making capabilities in resolving complex requests and issues. Attention to detail, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Accommodate competing and changing workload demands. Experience with Hyperion Budgeting system an asset.
