Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) is required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in nursing (BN, BScN or equivalent)- a combination of education and experience may be considered. Current Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP). Three years recent Neonatal Intensive Care experience or experience in similar nursing units caring for medically fragile infants. Demonstrated supervisory or leadership competency or experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Proficiency with EMR, VAX & ESP. Completed Resuscitation Team training. Committed to safe effective, ethical patient care & work practices. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast paced, stressful environment. Proven ability to de-escalate tense situations. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Ability to participate as an effective member of the interprofessional team. Exceptional organizational & problem solving skills. Exercises sound judgement in decision making.
