Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurse of Alberta (CRPNA) is required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Additional Required Qualifications:Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse. A minimum of 3-5 years addiction and mental health experience in an acute inpatient unit with 2 years of recent charge nurse experience or previous AHN experience in Addictions and Mental Health. Strong leadership skills and ability to provide instruction and direction related to best practice in Addiction and Mental Health. Expert application of mental health assessment, diagnosis, crisis management, and knowledge of the community addiction and mental health resources and programs.
Preferred Qualifications:Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently. Have strong communication to consult and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in both hospital and community settings. An excellent attendance record and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment record and references. NVCI certificate and de-escalation skills preferred.
