Sound theological preparation with a Master’s degree or equivalent obtained from a recognized theological college required. One year of related health care experience required. Other institutional experience may be considered. Basic supervised Pastoral education (SPE) and a minimum of an additional two units of Advanced Clinical Pastoral education (CPE) training from an accredited training facility (CASC) required. Specialist Certification with CASC/ACSS or equivalent professional certification preferred. Membership with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS) desired. Good knowledge and respect of world faiths and cultures along with excellent communication skills required. This position reports to the Spiritual Care Manager, Covenant Health.
