Required Qualifications:

Commencement of a Master’s degree in theology or related field of studies from an accredited theological college. Completion of an undergraduate degree in theology or related field of studies. Advanced Standing in CASC/ACSS. Membership with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS). Equivalencies will be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Suitable knowledge and abilities required for working within an acute care setting, as well as with primary populations: acute care, long term care, palliative care, geriatrics. Commitment to personal and professional integration, as well as spiritual, psychological and emotional integration. Ability to engage in theological or spiritual reflection. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Computer skills - email, outlook scheduling, Connect Care electronic charting. Ability to listen, counsel, and be present. Ability to be non-judgmental, maintain confidence, and affirm individual worth.


Preferred Qualifications:

One year of related experience in institutional ministry. Master’s degree in theology or related field of studies from an accredited theological college. Specialist certification in supervised Pastoral Education from a CASC/ACSS accredited program preferred.
