Commencement of a Master’s degree in theology or related field of studies from an accredited theological college. Advanced Standing in CASC/ACSS. Membership with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC/ACSS). Equivalencies will be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Suitable knowledge and abilities required for working within a continuing care setting. Commitment to personal and professional integration, as well as spiritual, psychological and emotional integration. Ability to engage in theological reflection. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Computer skills - email, outlook scheduling, Connect Care electronic charting. Ability to listen, counsel, and be present. Ability to be non-judgmental, maintain confidence, and affirm individual worth.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of related experience in a continuing care setting. Master’s degree in theology or related field of studies from an accredited theological college. Certification in Supervised Psychospiritual Education from a CASC/ACSS accredited program preferred.
