Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Resources, the Visitor Information Clerk is the first point of contact for visitors and staff entering the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting and directing visitors, ensuring that all entry protocols are followed, and providing exceptional customer service in a welcoming and professional manner. This is a casual position offering flexible hours with no guaranteed minimum number of hours. Availability may vary week to week, with shifts offered or adjusted on short notice based on operational needs and the employee’s availability. Located in the heart of Edmonton, the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre proudly serves nearly 500 residents, offering compassionate long-term care, subacute care, and hospice care tailored to each individual’s needs. High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:At least one year of experience in a customer service or client-facing role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt to new tools quickly. Effective communication and critical thinking skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Administrative background, with preference for healthcare-related experience. Previous experience with Connect Care. Assertiveness and the ability to provide instructions clearly and confidently.
