High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Medical Terminology. Typing speed of 30 wpm. Medical Secretary or other related courses. One year related experience in a health care setting required. Preference will be given to applicants with Health Records Department experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Maintains Confidentiality of all information handled. Ability to organize and prioritize workload. Knowledge of filing systems; numerical and alphabetical. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital staff and public, to maintain a professional image of the Health Records Department.
