High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Medical Terminology. Typing speed 30 wpm. Secondary certificate in medical or health records programs. Strong organizational skills. Accurate. Ability to prioritize. Excellent attention to detail. Knowledge of filing systems; terminal digit, numerical and alphabetical. Good communication skills; excellent verbal and written English. Good interpersonal skills; good telephone manner; customer focus. Computer experience. Knowledge of office equipment. Ability to work effectively and independently within timelines and with frequent interruptions. Must be capable of sustained mental and visual attention.
