High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 diploma. Post Secondary training in Nutrition & Food Services Administration, Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant, Hospitality, or equivalent education. Current Alberta Motor Vehicle License with a clean abstract . Minimum one (1) year recent catering experience/knowledge. Minimum one (1) year recent customer service and/or hospitality experience. Experience and proficiency in MS Office computer applications. Experience in coordinating multiple tasks through various levels of staff. Experience in preparing financial summaries, statements, and reports. Proficient use (reading, writing and speaking) of the English language. Mathematical competency in relation to food and labor costing, weights and measures, metric conversion, portion control, and profit/loss analysis. Exceptional customer service skills. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Strong Attention to detail. Creativity and ability to build aesthetically appealing food displays. Knowledge of food, dietary restrictions, allergens and menus to make appropriate choices/ suggestions for customers. Self-confidence and ability to make introductions with new customers and develop lasting relations. Energy, enthusiasm, passion about food, entertaining, and food trends.
Preferred Qualifications:WHMIS certificate. Advanced Food Safe certificate. Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must demonstrate personal integrity, manage time well, work efficiently under pressure, and be highly visible in area of responsibility. Must be able to work in a busy environment. Must be able to cope with fluctuating demands for catering and other services. Must be able to work flexible hours to meet operational demands for the job; including evenings and weekends.
