High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Familiarity or training in/on a scheduling system for a 24 x 7 operation. Five years experience in a hospital setting required; recent staffing clerk experience required; two years working knowledge of collective agreements required. Record keeping, telephone communications. Word processing/key boarding skills required 35-40 wpm required. Proficiency in spelling, grammar and punctuation required. Excellent organizational skills. Interpersonal skills, ie. Verbal and telephone communication required. Ability to work as a team member. Must be able to withstand constant interruptions in work flow.
Preferred Qualifications:Combination of education and/or experience may be acceptable. Computer literacy required, QHR experience an asset. Working knowledge of MS Word, spreadsheets/database applications preferred.
