Your Opportunity:

This is a casual position to relieve regular full time employees who require time off or to provide additional support to the site when required. Hours are not guaranteed however, shifts will generally be arranged in advance with the exception of last minute sick calls. This position provides a wide range of administrative support to various departments at the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the preparation of correspondence, agendas, minute taking, filing and record keeping, data entry, development of reports and preparation of written communication for a variety of clinical and support areas. The position also supports the hospital through project, and committee work.

Description:

The Clerk IV provides complex clerical support. The Clerk IV performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health.

Required Qualifications:

One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

At least two years of practical progressive office experience. Proficiency with various computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, etc.) Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail, excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize effectively while handling competing tasks and deadlines. Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment. Must display good judgement and professionalism. Ability to work under pressure and within a changing environment. Familiarity with health care and medical terminology will be considered a benefit.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a Business Administration or Office Administration program preferred.
