One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 or recognized equivalent required Ability to prioritize, organize, take the initiative and work independently as required Completion of a Medical Terminology course required. Surgical Booking Clerk experience.1-2 years related experience in a hospital environment - Current Must have two to three years directly related experience required. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and strong communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft office and apps Connect Care, Netcare, VAX, Outlook, Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:Current or previous acute hospital clerical or medical office experience preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively. Must remain efficient while dealing with numerous interruptions. Committed to accuracy and attention to detail. Must be capable of working in a fast paced, patient care environment.
