One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 or recognized equivalent required. Completion of a Medical Office Administration Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution required OR 5 years recent equivalent experience in appointment booking and reception in a physician office or medical clinic setting. Excellent organizational, inter-professional and communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of a course in medical terminology. BLS level C with AED provider. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred. Experience with electronic medical records preferred. Able to work well under stress of a continuous workflow with frequent interruptions.
