One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 or recognized equivalent required. Completion of a Medical Office Administration Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution required. Completion of a course in medical terminology required. BLS level C with AED provider required. Excellent Telephone Etiquette Recent equivalent experience in a medical clinic setting may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of two years’ experience including patient care, maintenance of instruments, appointment bookings and reception in a physician’s office or medical clinic setting preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred. Experience with electronic medical records preferred. Excellent organizational, inter-professional and communication skills required. Able to work well under stress of a continuous workflow with frequent interruptions.
