Your Opportunity:
Under limited supervision of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and in keeping with Covenant Health’s Mission and Values the incumbent provides courteous and professional customer service. Responsible for gathering required information & documentation for billing purposes. Receipting and coding all monies acquired by the hospital into the financial system. Prepare bank deposits, reconcile and balance the petty cash float. Complete Bank Summary spreadsheet, prepare bank deposits, reconcile and balance the petty cash float. Scan all pertinent documentation relating to days intake of all monies and save in appropriate share point folders. Disbursing petty cash for resident trust fund withdrawal transactions, and non-purchase order payment requisitions. Maintains Resident Trust Accounts which includes processing all transactions and mailing out monthly statement of accounts. Please note: Classification under Review.

The Clerk IV provides complex clerical support. The Clerk IV performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:High School Diploma required. Some post-secondary accounting/financial courses required. At least 2 years related Accounting/Cash office experience required. Excel and Outlook experience required. Basic understanding of accounting/billing. Experience in cash related functions. Ability to lift 25 - 30 lbs. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with department staff, external agencies, and the public. Ability to work under pressure and meet established deadlines. Ability to work within a team atmosphere. Ability to work on own initiative when required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Connect Care and HRCM is preferred. Experience in Health Care environment preferred.
