Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Unit Manager, Centre for Diabetes Care, this position is responsible for a full range of receptionist and clerical support for the Centre for Diabetes Care program, staff, physicians, and manager. This position is responsible for creating/coordinating appointment schedules & templates for the Center for Diabetes Care and Regional Diabetes Office. Responsibilities include processing referrals, scheduling patient appointments, assisting with patient check in/check out and responding to telephone calls. Please note: Classifications Under Review.

Description:

The Clerk IV provides complex clerical support. The Clerk IV performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 diploma required. Three years medical office experience relating to reception, secretarial, and computer experience required. Medical Terminology required. Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ambulatory Clinic and Schedistrar Connect Care experience preferred. Medical Secretary Course preferred.
