Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, Central Staffing Office, the Advanced Clerk IV provides complex staff scheduling and timekeeping support for programs supported by the Grey Nuns Central Staffing Office. This role utilizes Infor WFM and Automated Shift Callout systems to manage time-sensitive scheduling activities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The position is responsible for ensuring accurate staff scheduling and pay data in alignment with Covenant Health policies, procedures, and collective agreements. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service excellence and advanced problem-solving skills, as the incumbent will regularly address urgent staffing issues, respond to inquiries, and implement effective, timely solutions. Key responsibilities include Assigning/unassigning employees and maintaining workplans. Completing Scheduler Notification Forms. Performing advanced tasks such as Workplan Changes and Line Assignments. Acting as a subject matter expert for advanced staffing processes. Communicating with managers and supporting multiple stakeholders. The role will also provide relief coverage for the Clerk V Team Lead and may support staffing desk operations as required. One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years’ experience in staff scheduling. Advanced experience with ESP scheduling software and Infor WFM (including Advanced Scheduler training). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Experience working in a unionized environment with multiple stakeholders. Experience documenting and analyzing business processes. Core Competencies include demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex and time-sensitive issues. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and professionalism Commitment to client service and continuous improvement. Additional requirements: Proven reliability and strong attendance record. Post-secondary education (e.g., business/office administration or related certification). Applicants may be required to complete a practical assessment to evaluate comprehension and problem-solving skills.
