Required Qualifications: A related post-secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have a Certificate from a recognized training program that includes a practicum component. Completion of a Medical Terminology course. Ability to learn new computer software programs. Ability to prioritize, organize, take initiative and work independently as required. 1-2 years related experience in an acute hospital environment. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Pre-admission Clinic Booking Clerk experience. Working knowledge of Connect Care, VAX, Outlook, Word and Excel. Current or previous ambulatory care experience. Current or previous medical office experience preferred.
