Clinical research is important in this field of practice, and the care of patients registered on research trials is an important part of the role. Clinical Assistants are responsible for examining patients, completing documentation and consulting with the supervising Physician to create treatment plans and order management. Description:

In this position, Clinical Assistants get an opportunity to provide patient oversight, evaluation and medical management. Reporting to their supervising Physician, the Clinical Assistant responds to related consultation requests in the Department of Medicine and performs the patient admission history and physical examination. The Clinical Assistant will be responsible for reviewing all assigned patient cases on a regular basis with their supervising Physician. They are expected to follow the clinical pathways, guidelines and protocols.
