Minimum of five (5) years experience as a Registered Health Professional. Minimum of two (2) years experience in an Educator position. Registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Ongoing involvement in active clinical work across continuum of care.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrates flexibility and openness to new ideas and methods. Is innovative and creative. Demonstrates clinical expertise with a high level knowledge of best practice principles. Possesses knowledge and understanding of the roles of nursing and interdisciplinary team members. Maintains confidentiality. Possesses and utilizes outstanding communication skills (interpersonal, written, and verbal). Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving. Able to perform a variety of non-routine duties. Maintains own professional competence. Highly self-motivated and directed, able to work independently or in groups; Short term and long range planner with the ability to organize and set priorities for multiple competing activities; Team building, problem solving and conflict resolution ability; Ability to promote group decision making in an interdisciplinary program management model; Ability to work collaboratively with external partners; Computer literacy; Willingness to be a change agent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a health related discipline required, Master’s degree preferred. Certification in adult learning an asset. Previous experience in a leadership role preferred. Previous experience in project and committee participation an asset. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
