Baccalaureate in a Health Sciences discipline or education required. Minimum of five (5) years experience as a Registered Health Professional. Minimum of two (2) years experience in an Educator position. Ongoing involvement in active clinical work across continuum of care.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Formal training in Simulation strongly preferred. Demonstrates flexibility and openness to new ideas and methods. Innovative and creative. Demonstrates clinical expertise with a high level knowledge of best practice principles. Able to flex schedule as may be operationally required by the Covenant Health. Possesses and utilizes outstanding communication skills (interpersonal, written, and verbal). Highly self-motivated and directed, able to work independently or in groups. Short term and long range planner with the ability to organize and set priorities for multiple competing activities. Team building, problem solving and conflict resolution ability. Ability to promote group decision making in an interdisciplinary program management model. Ability to work collaboratively with external partners. Willingness to be a change agent. Computer literacy. Ability to travel between sites including overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree in health sciences or education preferred. Experience in the provision of clinical education (experience in non-clinical adult education may be considered as equivalent). Training and experience in the delivery of adult learning programs such as ACLS, PALS, ATLS preferred. Simulation Education delivery preferred. Experience conducting research and publication of results.
