Required Qualifications:

A Journeyman certificate and Red Seal endorsement is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma. Basic computer skills. Food Handler’s Certificate. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, fluent in English. Three (3) to Five (5) years recent institutional food service experience, large quantity cooking experience, required. Ability to multitask, work to deadlines, retain details as well as adapt to changes quickly. Strong interpersonal skills and training in customer relations. Ability to do mathematical calculations. High standards for cleanliness and sanitation. High levels of honesty and integrity. Possess good time management skills, able to follow directions, work to deadlines and has attention for detail. Capable to meet the physical demands of the position; able to stand for long periods of time and ability to lift at least 60 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of regular and special diets. WHMIS certificate desired. Customer Service coursework desired.
