The manager will provide executive level portfolio support to the CMO, and Medical Affairs senior leadership. The manager will monitor and co-ordinate the activities within the Office of the CMO, facilitate the achievement of portfolio goals and objectives and manage the overall strategic plan. The manager will also coordinate and contribute to the successful completion of a wide range of initiatives and projects within the portfolio. Description:

In this position, the Corporate Services Manager will be responsible for developing, coordinating and monitoring progress of portfolio strategy and workplan including key deliverables/initiatives under the leadership of the CMO and Medical Affairs senior leadership, and the overall Medical Affairs portfolio. The manager will lead, facilitate, and participate with cross functional teams or committees to support the priorities and goals of the Office of the CMO and Medical Affairs portfolio. The manager will play a key role in the portfolio’s communications strategy and will work closely with Medical Affairs senior leadership and communications department to produce a wide range of publications, documents and reports. Facilitating effective communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution/removal of barriers through consultation with key internal and/or external stakeholders is core work. Monitoring accountabilities include completing reports related to the board cycle and preparing appropriate executive, organizational updates based on progress of strategic objectives and overall portfolio performance. Quality improvement and quality assurance activities include developing, analyzing. reviewing, and reporting on key performance metrics. The manager will be involved in analyzing of a wide variety of issues. Research, best practices, and environmental scans to development recommendations to effectively resolve or mitigate organization or portfolio risks will occur. These activities will also support identifying opportunities for innovation. The ideal candidate for this non-unionized position is an initiative-taking individual who has a proven ability to leverage their leadership, strategic thinking, process management and team building skills to ensure the delivery of quality work in the office of the CMO and the Medical Affairs portfolio.

Required Qualifications:

A related Baccalaureate degree is required in fields like Health Sciences, Health Administration, Business, Communications, or Human Resources. Recent work experience in health or the public sector required.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum seven years of related experience; Excellent written communication skills and the capability to build rapport and working relationships at all levels and with internal/external stakeholders. Experience in policy development and implementation required. Advanced skills in data analytics and research, risk management and mitigation. Familiarity with quality improvement system development, implementation, and monitoring. Must possess creativity, initiative, flexibility and excellent problem-solving capabilities. Must possess an abundance of tact and diplomacy with a demonstrated ability to influence and persuade.


Preferred Qualifications:

Masters’ preparation such as an MBA or MHA. Formal project management training and experience. Experience in government and board relations. Experience of, or exposure to Medical Affairs at a senior level is beneficial. Candidates who have senior level government relations, experience in compensation models and service delivery planning, and experience in workforce planning, and service delivery development will be given preferential screening.
