Required Qualifications:

Certificate in Health Information Management. Member in good standing, Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Two years’ experience in a management/supervisor capacity in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred. Two years coding/abstracting experience with excellent working knowledge of MetaHealth Abstracting system and ICD-10-CA/CCI coding. Working knowledge of Crystal Reports and Microsoft Office. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Ability to organize and manage short and long term plans and projects specific to health information/records management processes and services. Ability to problem solve and utilize available resources to develop an effective solution. Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees, Physicians and other partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Health Information Management or related field preferred. Certified Classification and Coding Specialist designation preferred.
