Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or recognized equivalent required. Registration with Sonography Canada (CRS) is required. BLS (Level C- Health Care Provider) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP). American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers(ARDMS). Must possess high degree of confidentiality. Must be capable of performing all routine imaging procedures and able to adapt to new techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:Up to two years’ experience as a Diagnostic Sonographer in a medium to large hospital. Self-motivated with strong organization skills. Able to work under pressure in emergency situations. Able to assess patient capabilities and limitations and make adjustments in procedures when necessary. Required to assist Radiologists and Senior Technologists in complicated and lengthy procedures.
