Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Physical Education/Exercise Physiology or a related discipline is required. BLS level C required. Certified as an Exercise Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and/or Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience with chronic disease management required; preferably with pediatric obesity. Strong critical thinking, problem solving skills and organizational skills required. Must be proficient with typing and demonstrate strong computer skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time; must be able lift/push/pull a variety of equipment. Must be capable of demonstrating strength training and aerobic exercise.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with documenting in Electronic Medical Records. Previous experience working with children and their families.
