Your Opportunity:

In keeping with the Covenant Health's Mission, Vision, and Values, and as an integral member of the Nutrition and Food Services Team, the Food Service Ambassador is responsible for delivering, serving meals to patients. Responsible in preparation of bulk nourishments, delivering nourishment trays via the wagons to designated units and to the patient bed side using 2 patient identifiers. Also responsible for collecting patient dirty meals trays serving meals to patients, completing all duties in a friendly, personalized, professional, and efficient manner. The Food Service Ambassador communicates with the entire healthcare team to help ensure patient's nutritional needs are met, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. The Food Service Ambassador must accurately and efficiently use technology, such as computer software in a windows environment and smart phones, to receive patient orders and communicate with NFS team members. The Food Service Ambassador participates in departmental meetings and programs, participates in the training/orientation of new staff and students and performs other duties as required. These tasks are completed with minimal supervision and following all applicable policies and standard operating procedures. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 2111 Collective Agreement. Please note: Classifications Under Review.

The Food Service Ambassador communicates with the entire healthcare team to help ensure patient's nutritional needs are met; maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or recognized equivalent required. Proficiency in office procedures and computer applications in a Windows environment required. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English required. Excellent customer service and communication skills required. Strong interpersonal skills and has training in customer relations required.
