Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

The Food Services Attendant I is responsible for: setting up assigned beltline positions; portioning food items; performing tray duties; preparing simple food items/special food items for meal services; assembling/delivering/collecting patient meals, nourishment trays via the wagons; preparation of bulk nourishments. Also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of preparation/serving areas and equipment; dishroom duties, stripping and cleaning of patient/resident trays; unpacking and storing supplies; participating in the training of new staff and students and performing other related duties as required. Preferred Qualifications:

High School diploma or recognized equivalent preferred. An equivalent combination of education & experience may be considered. WHMIS certificate desired. Food safe certificate desired. One year of food service experience in a hospital/institutional setting is desired.
