Your Opportunity:
Hours of Work: Various Shifts between 0700-2315 (includes weekends and Statutory Holidays). Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Supervisor Hospitality Services and as an integral member of the Hospitality team, the Hospitality Services Attendant is responsible for working in multiple areas in Hospitality. Duties include: Sting up assigned meal assembly areas; portioning food items. Performing food service duties. Preparing simple food items/special food items for meal services. Assembling/delivering/collecting patient meals and nourishments. Preparing of bulk nourishments. Maintaining the cleanliness of preparation/serving areas and equipment. Dish room duties, stripping and cleaning of patient trays; unpacking and storing supplies. Participating in the training of new staff and students. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. Performing routine cleaning of patients rooms or office areas, washes surfaces, mops floors, cleans bathrooms and sinks and beds. Performs disinfection of isolation areas in the facility (including patient/resident and solation rooms). Collecting soiled laundry from units. Laundering patient laundry and returning to units. Laundering uniforms, specialty linens from multiple areas. The Hospitality Attendant will also be responsible for performing other related duties as required. Description:
The Food Services Attendant I portions, packages and/or serves food items according to menu, diet protocol, portion control and temperature standards within an acute care or continuing care setting. The position is also responsible for cleaning equipment, supplies and surfaces throughout the kitchen. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 2111 Collective Agreement.
