Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to read, write, speak and understand English required. Must have high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Must be able to understand proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures. Frequently required to lift weights of 50-100 pounds. Significant periods of standing and reaching resulting from prolonged lengths of time spent at workstations. Exposure to various chemical compounds and cleaners some of which require special handling. Exposure to noise, water, fluctuating environmental temperatures and unpleasant odors normally associated with the ware washing areas.
Preferred Qualifications:WHMIS certificate desired. Food Safe certificate desired. One year of food service experience in a hospital or institutional setting desired.
