Post-Secondary Degree related to IT, health sciences, epidemiology or biostatics or degree program with an analytical focus Two years experience in a healthcare environment working with spreadsheets, databases and tools for querying, integrating, analyzing, interpreting, reporting and disseminating data. Must have intermediate to proficient Oracle SQL or other comparable database query and report writing experience.
Additional Required Qualifications:As required.
Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree or PhD in IT, health services, epidemiology or biostatics or other related field with an advanced quantitative focus. Knowledge of various clinical data sources and systems within the Alberta healthcare context. Must abide by the highest standards of confidentiality and have a sound understanding of the principles within Alberta’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, as well as the Health Information Act.
