Required Qualifications: Graduate from a Canadian College of Health Information Management (CCHIM) recognized program for Health Information Management Professionals required. Registration with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA) is required.
Additional Required Qualifications:CHIM Professional with experience in Access & Disclosure within a complex health care environment. Keyboarding skills with a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm. A skill testing assessment and typing test will be administered. English language skills in reading, writing and comprehension and effective oral and written communication required. Must be self-motivated and independent. Must possess conflict management skills. Possess a high level of decision making and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Ability to provide a high level of customer service. Ability to analyze, problem solve and make discretionary decisions in compliance with provincial and federal legislation. Technical aptitude for information systems, computer applications. Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a high volume, high paced and ever-changing work environment.
