Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 diploma, required. Completion of a two year Food Service Management course or equivalent management training required. Minimum 2 years recent experience in a supervisory capacity required. Minimum 3 years experience of related health care experience required. (Experience in all sectors preferred: Production, Patient Meal Service, Environmental Services). Experience in employee scheduling required. Experience in conducting customer satisfaction surveys/quality audits required. Experienced in customer relations required. Working knowledge of therapeutic diets required. Equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Proficiency in office procedures and computer applications in a Windows environment including word processing, spreadsheets, data bases, Email, Internet and staff scheduling programs. Working knowledge of interpreting collective agreements. Demonstrated ability in coaching, teaching and facilitating. Current knowledge and comprehension of dietary guidelines and food services terminology. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated and self-directed. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality assurance. Strong organizational skills. Excellent time management skills. Demonstrated ability to contribute and function as part of a team. Supports a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Displays a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Able to handle multiple demands concurrently. Able to apply leadership skills appropriate to the situation. Displays flexibility and professional approach to decision making and conflict resolution.


Preferred Qualifications:

Food Safe certificate desired. WHMIS certificate desired.
