Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or other health related science required. Certification in Infection Control is required. Currently licensed with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) or an applicable professional licensing body required. Heart and Stroke Foundation BLS Level C – Health Care Provider required. Three years of related experience in health care - either acute care or continuing care setting required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Skills and expertise to communicate knowledge and support delivery of the Infection Control Work plan. Interpersonal skills including negotiation, influencing, facilitating, conflict resolution and the ability to form positive working relationships. Self-motivated, positive, and confident with the ability to cope under stress.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous Infection Prevention and Control experience preferred.
