This is your opportunity to join the Critical and Coronary Care team at the Grey Nuns Hospital as a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE). Description:

The Instructor's primary role is to ensure the delivery of quality patient care and excellence in nursing. Exercising adult principles of learning, the Instructor will design, enhance and provide staff orientation, education, clinical consultation, development, and/or evaluation. The Instructor's nursing practice will reflect a current, broad knowledge base, and excellent nursing skills that enable her/him to function as a role model and support staff in accordance with Covenant Health's Mission, Vision, and Values. The Instructor will function independently in formal and informal learning environments. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the UNA Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or other applicable degree required. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) in a critical care environment, along with at least 5 years of critical care nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Adult education knowledge is considered an asset. Current ACLS certification is preferred. Experience with CRRT, IHD, and/or TPE preferred. Demonstrated teaching and leadership abilities, along with excellent communication skills. Must be flexible, highly motivated, and self-directed.
