Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or other applicable degree required. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Must have at least five years of recent, relevant, related experience. Must have an understanding of and be proficient in information and communication technologies. Must be flexible, tactful with a positive reinforcement style and excellent conflict resolution skills. Must have strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills Must be self-motivated, self-directed and able to implement resolutions; must have excellent problem-solving skills. Coaching and mentoring skills. Skilled in retrieval and appraisal of evidence from a variety of credible sources to provide current accurate information. Change management knowledge and experience required. Demonstrated effective collaboration within a team environment.

Five years clinical experience as applicable for the designated patient care setting (NICU) preferred. Trained and an active member of a neonatal resuscitation team preferred. Involvement in developing/delivering and implementing educational programs or initiatives utilizing knowledge of adult learning principles an asset. Previous assessment skills to recognize and respond appropriately to staff learning requirements an asset. A certificate in adult education is preferred.
