Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or other applicable degree required. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) is required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum three years recent clinical critical care required. Teaching and leadership skills. Excellent communication skills. Clinical role model. Flexible, highly motivated, self-directed. ACLS required. Schedule should be flexible to meet the needs of staff. Have a broad knowledge of critical care. Skilled in the use of the equipment. Certified in the specialty procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous teaching experience preferred. ACLS instructor desired Member of Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses (CACCN) desired. Member of Canadian Council of Cardiovascular Nurses (CCCN) desired.
