Instructor-OR/PARR Clinical Nurse Educator

Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or other applicable degree required. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) is required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Formal education: Post graduate O.R. nursing course required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) required. Critical care experience preferred. Combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience: Minimum of five years clinical experience in Operating Room required. Clinical experience PARR an asset. Previous leadership and mentoring experience preferred. Previous staff teaching experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Research skills preferred. Project work experience an asset. License(s)/Certification(s): Registered member of ORNAC & NPANc. Special requirements/Unique aspects of job: Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with, interdisciplinary team members, personnel from other hospital departments and regional educational facilities. IV certification. Willingness to participate in relevant education initiatives. Ability to present in front of large audiences. Diversified experience and knowledge in OR procedures and PARR.
