Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN). Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is required (in good standing). Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. A minimum of 3-5 years’ previous experience as a CNE in an acute care setting.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated leadership experience in an organization of a significant size, complexity and diversity. Demonstrated ability to support, and advocate for diversity, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity. The incumbent will demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development. Possesses and utilizes outstanding communication skills (interpersonal, written, and verbal). Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving. Highly self-motivated and directed, able to work independently or in groups. Short term and long-range planner with the ability to organize and set priorities for multiple competing activities. Demonstrates flexibility and openness to new ideas and methods. Team building, problem solving and conflict resolution ability. Ability to promote group decision making in an interdisciplinary program management model. Computer literacy; including MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in nursing or applicable health care discipline preferred. A certificate in adult education is preferred. Previous experience in project management and committee participation an asset.
