Qualification in a Health Sciences discipline or equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Registered Health Professional required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Educator position required. Ongoing involvement in/supporting active clinical work across continuum of care. Experience in the provision of clinical education. Training and/or experience in the delivery of simulation-based education or adult learning programs (such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS) required (experience in non-clinical adult education may be considered). Equivalencies in experience may be considered. Two years of educator experience could be a formal or informal educator position (i.e., floor nurse who also provides BLS course education, ACP who precepts and educates new hires etc.).

Highly motivated, collaborative team player with a proven ability to foster and maintain partnerships. Strong organizational and conflict resolution skills. Ability to flex schedule as may be operationally required as well as routine travel between sites throughout the province as needed. Competent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including virtual meetings platforms. High level of verbal and written communication skills using various approaches depending on the audience. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Formal training in Simulation strongly preferred. Simulation Education delivery preferred. Graduate degree in health sciences or education preferred. Experience with conducting research and publication of results.
