Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager, Learning and Development, the Learning and Development Consultant is accountable for leading major Learning and Development initiatives from initiation to completion and sustainability. In consultation with various stakeholders across the organization, responsibilities include the end-to-end development of learning initiatives. This includes the development of on-line, instructor led and blended learning programs, courses and resources to support employee development. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring Learning and Development services are carried out in a manner that is consistent with Covenant Health’s Mission, Values and Ethical guidelines. Please note: Travel is required, and may include the use of a personal vehicle. A standard driver’s abstract may also be required for use of corporate lease vehicles.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, and certification in Adult Learning or Curriculum design is required. Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience designing and facilitating competency-based experiential learning programs. Experience with authoring tools such as Captivate or Articulate. Ability to drive the implementation of significant organization-wide initiatives. Ability to work directly and independently with various learning populations and units within the organization to consultatively determine needs and deliver solutions. Knowledge of the Principles of Adult Learning and Instructional Design. Experience with LMSs (Moodle, Blackboard, etc.) as a system administrator. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems. Candidate must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (travel between the Covenant Health sites is required).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with media, voice editing, video editing, photo shop or Adobe Suite is an asset. Past experience working in a multi-unionized setting is an asset.
