Killam Health Centre provides the people of Killam and Flagstaff County with individual and family-centred health services, including 24-hour emergency, diagnostic, therapeutic and continuing care services. In addition to 5 acute-care beds and 45 long-term care beds, the newly completed Killam Campus of Caring provides holistic care to seniors, ensuring they can continue living on campus even as their needs change. The 50-suite facility was designed with the flexibility to provide supportive living, long-term care and dementia care to individuals and couples. Killam is a thriving, vibrant town located approximately 169 km southeast of Edmonton, at the intersections of Highways 36 and 13 in central Alberta. Killam offers traditional small town values with the comforts of larger centres. Successful candidates may qualify for a $10,000 or $15,000 incentive, and candidates who move to a rural community may qualify for relocation assistance of up to $10,000. Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. The LPN works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
