The Diagnostic Imaging LPN functions as a member of the Imaging multidisciplinary team maintaining nursing essentials, assistance and responsibilities necessary to provide safe patient care during and following routine diagnostic, therapeutic or interventional imaging procedures. Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. The LPN works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:I.V. Therapy Certification. Uses concepts of scientific knowledge and experience when providing patient care. Strong organizational and communication skills. Strong time management skills and ability to delegate effectively. Able to work under pressure in emergency situations. Able to assess patient capabilities and limitations. High degree of confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:1 - 5 years of recent experience in a Diagnostic Imaging Department. Previous experience in ED or OR/RR preferred.
